LEGO is – without a doubt – the coolest producer of toys ever. Check. A while ago I visited an old friend and spent almost one hour with her 6 year old debating the Star Wars Universe. In the form of his rather impressionable LEGO collection. For years and years I have checked on the latest release – and hardly could keep up. Still and amazingly: they are getting better and better. What LEGO really excels in aren't their own creations, though. They have a much more valuable talent of picking out the cool stuff and making it their own. By licensing great film and comic book characters the Danish company has scored many times. Aiming not just at kids, but at a generation of parents that can finally stop worrying and invite all their childhood heroes cheerfully into their home once more. It's not just the excellent toy design that's intriguing: Instead of simply buying DC's superheroes to create toys, the new Lego heroes come to life in a vast number of different mediums. A world you will find difficult to leave once you're in! Lego's website offers free online gaming and loads of fun with your favourite superhero – NOT just for kids. Go create your personal Batman comic! And while it's fun "Lego Batman 2: DC Super Hereos" is a brandnew game featuring LEGO's new series and brings DC's universe to a new dimension. Following the comic book's example it offers a fun game embedded in a tense and cool adventure: The Joker and Lex Luther band togther to destroy Gotham City. Batman and Robin need help: The Justice League, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and many more are jumping to their aid. Batmobile and Batwing supply help for the players and you are entirely free to save the world on your own or form a team with your friends. Grading on a scale of one to ten: pure genius. Maybe not an excuse to get kids, but surely it won't hurt to think about a playstation. And if you got the impression of this being a rant – don't worry. You're right.
