Bruno Marchand’s graphic novel "Quelques pas vers la lumiere" will be published by All Verlag under the German title "SCHRITTE INS LICHT" ("Steps towards the light"), in December 2012. Belgian comic artist Bruno Marchand closely follows the personal story of a young Parisian girl, Marianne, who starts to investigate the rumours concerning her father’s alleged treason during World War II. Though she is not inclined to doubt her father in general, a number of strange events have occured lately, and turned her suspicious. Are they to be read as omens, or is it simply the truth hidden in the past that wants to come to light? Born in 1963, Bruno Marchand has worked for Tintin Reporter, Spirou and Bayard Press before illustrating and publishing his first graphic novel "Ma vie de chat" ("My life as a cat") at Decourt in 1991 – a cooperation with writer Colette de Buyser. His series "Quelques pas vers la lumiere" ("Steps towards the light") has been published by Soleil Productions starting in 2008 and is one of the most wanted comic books on French and Belgian top selling lists.
